Home basketball games postponed further

Home basketball games at Lamar Community College have been further postponed due to a shipping delay with the new scoreboards.  The new estimated arrival for the scoreboards is Tuesday, November 13.  If all goes well with the installation, the Lopes will host two home games this week on Wednesday and Thursday, November 14 and 15.

Pending the successful installation of new scoreboards, the LCC Men's Basketball team will host Frank Phillips College on Wednesday, November 14, at 6:00pm in the Wellness Center.  Then, Men's Basketball will host Northwest College at 7:00pm on Thursday, November 15.

Two of the Lopes home games for this week have been cancelled or delayed. The Men's game set for Monday, November 12, was initially moved to a different location but has since been cancelled.  The Women's game set for Tuesday, November 13, will be rescheduled to a date in January.

Schedules are subject to additional changes if the installation is delayed further.  Visit golopes.com for the most up-to-date schedules or find Lamar Community College Athletics on Facebook for additional updates.

Update as of November 13

The scoreboard delivery was delayed one more day, causing further delays in LCC home basketball games.

The Men's Basketball game scheduled for Wednesday, November 14, against Frank Phillip College will now be played in Borger, Texas. To adjust for this change, the December 8 game with Frank Phillips will now be played at LCC with a start time of 4:00pm.

With this change and pending the successful scoreboard installation, the first LCC home basketball game will be on Thursday, November 15, when Men's Basketball hosts Northwest College at 7:00pm.  If there are further issues and subsequent delays to the schedule, that information will be shared in this release as soon as possible.
