Michael Oberto has returned to LCC as the Runnin’ Lopes Pitching Coach after attending LCC from 2008-2010. As a starting pitcher, Michael had a 13-2 record during the 2010 season and still holds the record for most season wins. That same year, Michael compiled 91 innings pitched (third all time) and started 15 games (third all time).  In 2010 the Runnin’ Lopes achieved a 48-12 record, including a Region IV Championship and were hosts for the Western Districts.

After graduating LCC, Michael attended the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). As both a starter and a reliever, he compiled over 90 innings pitched with a career 2.68 ERA.  That ERA left him with the lowest career ERA record at UTA. Over a two-year span, Michael compiled 35 appearances with 11 games started. In his senior year, Michael finished with a 1.56 ERA while allowing 7 earned runs all season.

Michael is from Broomfield, CO, and graduated from Legacy High School in 2008. At LHS, Michael was a three-year varsity starter in Baseball and a four-year varsity starter in Soccer as a Goalkeeper. Michael achieved All-State honors as a goalkeeper his senior year.
