Amy Schmeckpeper joins the Lamar Community College softball program for her first year as an assistant softball coach. For the last two years, Schmeckpeper has worked as an assistant softball coach at the University of Puget Sound. She has also been involved in coaching ASA club teams working as an assistant for the U18 Royals from Tacoma, Washington, and as a head coach for the U16 Boise Blast from Boise, Idaho.
Schmeckpeper played softball for the University of Puget Sound for two years after transferring from the College of Idaho where she also played for two years. Originally from Idaho, Schmeckpeper played for Timberline High School where she helped her school to two district and one state title.
Schmeckpeper holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and a Master’s degree in Teaching both from the University of Puget Sound.
