The Lamar Community College Softball team will be hosting there annual fall tournament this weekend September 21st & 22nd at the Citizens Field Complex. Fourteen teams will be competing in Lamar this weekend, including schools from Nebraska, Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, New Mexico and Wyoming.
Game times start at 9:45am on Saturday and will continue throughout the day with the last game starting at 6:30pm. On Sunday, games will begin at 9:45am with the final game beginning at 11:30pm.
The Runnin' Lopes Softball team will play on Saturday, September 21st, starting at 1:15 against Northwest Technical College. The Lopes will play again at 4:15pm against Luna Community College and at 6:30pm against Oklahoma Panhandle University. Their final game will be played on Sunday, September 22nd, at 9:45 against Air Force Club.
Admission is free to all tournament games. Concessions will be available.
Seven returning sophomores will lead the Lopes this year, with 20 freshman hailing from Colorado, Utah, Texas, Florida, Louisiana and Arizona.
Regular season will begin in the spring semester for the softball team with games starting in February.
