Austrian Goalkeeper Alexander Hautz Commits to Lamar Community College for 2026 Season
Alexander Hautz is a 21-year-old goalkeeper from Klagenfurt, Austria, standing 6'2" and right-footed. He combines his athletic career with academics, currently pursuing a degree in Psychology while maintaining a 3.0 GPA.
In his freshman season (2025) at UA Cossatot (NJCAA Division II), Alexander quickly established himself as a reliable presence in goal, starting 7 of 8 matches. He recorded a standout clean sheet with seven saves against UA Rich Mountain and delivered another strong seven-save performance versus National Park, demonstrating consistency, composure, and shot-stopping ability.
Before moving to the United States, Alexander developed his game in Austria at Sport BORG Klagenfurt. He competed with SV Glanegg and gained valuable experience within the Wolfsberger AC youth system, building a strong technical and tactical foundation.
Alexander is committed to Lamar Community College (NJCAA Division I) for Fall 2026, where he aims to continue progressing both academically and athletically at a higher level.
Off the field, he enjoys playing basketball and volleyball. He looks up to Manuel Neuer as a role model for his style and approach to goalkeeping.
